National Guard overrun at Mexico border.

The border crisis continues as a group of military aged males pushed through a National Guard checkpoint at the Mexico border. The National Guard will not open fire on unarmed civilians and there are simply too many immigrants for the National Guard to handle.

Footage emerged on Thursday showcasing a chaotic scene at the El Paso border in Texas as waves of illegal migrants attempted to breach the United States from Mexico. Described by a reporter as a veritable “riot,” the Texas National Guard found themselves grappling with an overwhelming influx of migrants who tore down the fence at a check point, but were stopped at another.

In January alone, the crossings along the southwest land border in Texas amounted to 68,260, as per data from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. While this marked a decrease from the staggering 300,000+ migrants who entered in December of 2023, it still ranks among the highest rates in the nation. These figures should raise red flags for preppers across the county as these individuals continue to enter the country undocumented and unchecked.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott and his leaders remain steadfast in their efforts to implement stringent immigration laws tailored to their state’s needs. These laws aim to empower authorities to arrest, detain, and expel suspected illegal immigrants, sparking ongoing legal battles.

Even if illegal immigration can be slowed down, or even stopped all together, the national security threat from the 4million plus immigrants who have already crossed will remain a lingering problem for the future.

FBI Warning

FBI Director Chris Wray informed a Senate panel that dangerous individuals have unlawfully entered the US through the southern border, contributing to a range of threats, including drug trafficking. He highlighted the FBI’s seizure of a significant amount of fentanyl in the past two years, enough fentanyl in fact to kill 270 million Americans.

The FBI director also confirmed that ISIS connected immigrants have also been crossing the border.

Preparedness

Preppers should remain diligent in their home defense and person security preparations. Now is the time to start a home defense plan if you have not done so already. A home defense plan should cover your immediate living area as well as general security and self defense knowledge for when you’re out and about.
